Dusk is when the patio gets pleasant and when the mozzies, midges and flies turn up. This unit runs on that schedule: a 395 nm UV light draws flying insects in and a 1000 V grid deals with them on contact. There is nothing to spray, no coil to light and no cartridge to replace.
A light sensor switches it on at dusk and off again at dawn, so once it is mounted you can more or less forget about it.
